if you're partial to the night sky

can't help but be reminded of
"don't fix my smile, life is long enough
we will put this flesh into the ground again"
we've all lived our lives out of focus, for a brief if not longer segment of time
broken through barriers without any regards to consequence
laughed at order and pushed things till their very last straw
we make blurry that which we cannot confront
and until the particles settle, there's no way to see through that fog
allow yourself the recovery time

my branches

Maybe then you'll see it moves through you
Swift and carried out like two wandering strands
That, with accordant potentials, find reason to couple
Without any incentive other than the natural forces
That have bound them in the first place

it couldn't be this familiar, so professing
dated and still timelessly bright-looking
it could only leave us to our own
only our own kind

set out to sea

Reality is all in our own minds. We do not actually experience the real world, only the images, sounds and sensations fed to us by our five senses and interpreted by our brains.
It’s true that this fantasy is directly influenced by the physical universe but research has shown that we all perceive the outside world in very different ways.
Since all experience occurs within your mind, your memories of your life right up to this very moment are as real and valid as the dream you had last night.
So, is “reality” a dream? I believe that it’s more like a memory of what our senses perceived a millisecond ago. A story told to us by our mind to represent our experiences in the physical universe.
From an objective viewpoint your “mind” wouldn’t exist at all. An objective observer would only see the movement of atoms and electrons within your brain. Subjective experience is exactly that: subjective.

lovesface

sensory overload - passion fits - and eyes that won't stop dreaming
there's commotion inside of you and no way to settle it down
no remedy, no drug, no amount of love will fill the space between fingers
their kook - their steal - their smile
u n r e a l
words you can only think
feelings you can't quite place
the love that moves through space effortlessly
and sustains enough power to heal, enlighten, motivate
and capture the very essence of what it is to sigh, cherish, and fly
